Start June Contract for 6 months Brisbane Location Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the IT Help Desk in delivery of support services on a full time basis; Perform the function of the Systems Support Officer; Provide exceptional Customer Service with the ability to apply a logical approach; Provide technical support to users of the computer systems; Install and maintain hardware in either a Local Area Network (LAN) or the Wide Area Network (WAN) environment; Provide technical support for computer operations and other audio-visual equipment; Assist with assets control tasks possibly including stock takes and disposal in accordance with instructions and procedures; and Undertake project work and other administrative tasks as directed. Skills Required: Strong experience in the provision of desktop/network support services with the ability to handle an interrupt driven environment meeting deadlines whilst managing day to day requests; A range of technical skills. Technical areas include Lotus Notes, Novell Netware, Citrix Metaframe, Windows XP/7, MS Office 2003/2010, VPN, Blackberry, Video Conference equipment, Tablet technology, Dictation devices as well as voice recognition software, Next G and networks; Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management; Demonstrated initiative and capacity to be self directed in combination with working in a geographically spread team and working with a supervisor who resides interstate; and Experience with procurement of equipment and the ability to deploy and track assets accordingly.
